QLD HARDWOOD POLES

Every pole is selected using strict harvesting rules that control where we can harvest, and more importantly focuses on protecting habitat for both our wildlife and ecosystems. We have long term sale agreements from Forestry (DAFF) and have enormous access to Private Native Forests due to the wide distribution of our sawmills. Giving you the assurance we will be around for a very long time.

Once selected stringent rules govern what characteristics are allowed in each pole from knots, holes, straightness and form.

After this process we carefully inspect every characteristic measuring them using specific tools and processes, then we “dress” the pole so it presents in the best way possible. We then place the pole in a special holding area to remove the moisture which also stabilises the pole and allows it accept the “treatment” process. This is where we impregnate the susceptible sapwood using an extremely high pressure system to treat, or preserve the pole which will then make it last well over 50 years.

From here we test every single charge of poles for compliance to this special H5 treatment which is the highest and best in-ground treatment there is. All this means, every pole you see from Parkside is as good as it gets, sustainable and the most environmentally friendly pole on the planet!
