Parkside Timber has a proud history of producing some of the finest quality hardwood timber products for generations and Parkside’s F27 Structural and Joinery products are an integral part of Parkside’s reputation.

Parkside Structural and Joinery products are graded to the highest Australian Structural grade of F27 so you know the quality of hardwood is second to none. Their versatility allows the product to not only be used for structural applications but also now with our internal joinery grade this product is perfect for decorative internal and externally exposed applications where compromising is not an option.

Examples of this product are seen in high quality decks, stairways, internal features, pergolas, internal and external rafters, even upper echelon projects where designer class and prestige is require.

To achieve such a high quality product, Parkside Structural and Joinery products go through several high quality sawmilling practices and procedures. Parkside boast some of the highest standards in hardwood sawmilling practices in Australia.

The Parkside sawmills also utilise cutting edge sawmilling technology rarely seen in the Southern Hemisphere. Parkside’s technology utilises laser eye defect scanning technology to help eliminate natural errors in sawmilling and ensure consistency of high quality product. Parkside Structural and Joinery products are kiln dried and over the past few years substantial investment has been injected into drying practices and kiln drying technology, ensuring all aspects of the sawmilling practices are cutting edge.

These procedures and cutting edge technology creates a product that exceeds the Australian Standards for F27 products and allows customers not to only use this product in Structural applications but also internal joinery applications where consistency of product is imperative.

Parkside F27 Structural and Joinery products are typically produced using two of Australia’s most loved and recognised timber species – Ironbark and Spotted Gum. Due to the use of these species, customers can rely on the time tested and proven durability of these Aussie icons.

Premium Grade Structural and Joinery

Parkside Structural and Joinery products are available in one grade – Premium Grade. Due to Parkside’s state of the art sawmilling practices, and high quality standards, Parkside Structural and Joinery products are naturally produced to be above the Australian Standards for F27 products. This means the products overall quality and consistency is greater than the standard comparison product and hence the product can be used for so many different applications. This is also why Parkside Structural and Joinery Products only come in one grade.

PEFC Chain of Custody Certification

Parkside Structural and Joinery products hold one of the most recognised accreditations of the timber industry, the Chain of Custody Certification from the internationally recognised organisation PEFC. The PEFC certification means Parkside timber sourced from sustainable forest, and helps ensure Parkside’s resource is not just here for today but for the future.

Parkside Structural and Joinery Benefits

Parkside Structural and Joinery products boast a number of natural benefits over competing and substitute products in the market place:

  • Parkside products are grown in Australia, produced and manufactured in Australia for Australian conditions
  • Parkside F27 Structural is naturally insect and decay resistant and with an ACQ H3 treatment used to help prevent any durability concerns with sapwood inclusive products.
  • Parkside have some of the highest standards and best quality sawmilling technology in the Southern Hemisphere, meaning their quality is second to none.
  • Parkside F27 Structural is all durability class 1 above ground; giving you peace of mind your product will hold its structural integrity for over 40 years!
  • Parkside F27 Structural has a Joint Strength rating of 1 (JD1), and when compare to competing structural products like LVL13 and engineered pine which are typically a JD3 or JD4.
  • Parkside Structural has beautiful hardwood grain and texture, so no two pieces are ever cosmetically the same, allowing customers to enjoy a truly unique experience
  • Parkside Structural and Joinery products have exceptional integrity from their durability to their tangential shrinkage factors, so you know if you require consistency, these products are right for you.
  • Parkside products are available in fire retardant species, specifically complying with AS3959, and BAL ratings, all you have to do is ask.
